K-Lab features a system of open units with brushed steel finish, it is inspired by the large worktops found in industrial kitchens. The carefully calculated alternation of solid blocks and open units meets functional needs and gives dynamism to the entire project.
K-Lab can be customized with new materials and variants: the Platinum, Graphite and Onyx Metallix finishes, the smooth Nordic Oak, open pore Black Oak, and Smooth Heat Treated Oak veneers, the elegant silver backpainted diamond-patterned glass for the frame doors, the new Nexus door with shaped handle profile, and the exclusive Ernestomeda Zero Gloss™ lacquered finish.
K-System is the modular open-fronted system consisting of aluminium elements with back panels and drawers in the three K-lab oak woods. Shelves available in the Metallix finishes or in all the Ernestomeda matt lacquered colours. K-System can be adopted for base and wall units, cupboard compositions, hoods and tables, in multiple configurations.

Born in 1959, Giuseppe Bavuso lives and works in Seregno, Brianza, a district noted for the presence of a flourishing furniture industry. In 1986, he founded the Product Design studio with which he tackles different scales of design from interiors to automotive, train interiors, architecture, exhibitions and bio-medical equipment. His encounter with Bruno Munari was enlightening for the designer and fundamental for his career, marking his approach to the design profession from the very beginning. In the furniture sector, he established fruitful collaborations with internationally renowned companies as designer and creative director, facing product design in its entirety - from conception to engineering to visual communications. He pursues innovative solutions to improve product quality and durability and revolutionise the idea of contemporary living. In 2013, he was nominated by "Design Index" for the "Compasso d'oro" competition for the Ernestomeda Icon kitchen system and that same year, he won the Red Dot Award. He also won the "KBB Review New Year's Honor-List For 2000"; in 2005 and 2008 Compasso d'Oro ADI competition.
