The apparent randomness of the stone furrowed by the flow of water, the variable force with which the artist sculpts the marble block to give it form, the random and unpredictable split that reveals after a hit the essence of the material. Paolo Ulian and antoniolupi’s investigation of form as a result, even not fully controlled, of the gesture of breaking, is enriched by a new protagonist.
