Round or oval, Rim is the new ultra-thin sink that has its own distinctive feature in the softness and continuity of the border. Like a light leaf that lies on a mirror of water, Rim rests gently on the surface, almost touching the surface. The reduced depth of the bowl and the continuous section which is completed with a rounded edge give the whole a contemporary appearance. The subtle volume of the sink ideally returns to the two-dimensionality of the generating geometry, underlined by the mirror of water that will be created inside.

Daniel Debiasi and Federico Sandri met while collaborating with the Milan based designers Ludovica and Roberto Palomba where they both led projects for several leading international design companies. In 2010 after having continued their personal professional paths both in Italy and abroad they decided to join forces to found the design partnership Something. Interested in the connection of products with their surrounding they design objects in relation to spatial, cultural, behavioural and emotional influences and continuously push the boundaries of design working across its disciplines. Something is based in London and Verona. Daniel Debiasi (born 1981) graduated in Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano and was working first as a designer and project leader for Palomba Serafini Associati in Milan and later on in London for Motorola and Studio Conran among others. Federico Sandri (born 1977) graduated in Industrial Design at IUAV in Venice and has a strong record as a consulting professional in the development of industrial products, as a project leader within Palomba Serafini Associati and later on as a design professional.
