The charm is mysterious because from the front it reveals nothing of its essence, the name is illustrative because by inverting its parts it can be interpreted as an instrument for composing its own symphony of relaxation (just like a piano) or literally expresses its pivotal concepts of consistency, solidity, massiveness. A power, that of the material with which it is made, capable of telling all its strength precisely thanks to the purity and essentiality of the lines, sharp and absolute. Fortepiano is not only a collection of products, but also a new way of thinking about working with marble countertops from solid, modular, or made-to-measure marble, into which round, oval, square or rectangular sinks are carved seamlessly. A continuous surface, then, on which voids and depressions open to accommodate water, almost as if its force were excavating the material.
The tops can be used as free shelves or integrated with the different furniture collections in the Antonio Lupi range. In the former case, the design highlights the thickness of the top and its absolute image, in the latter, the infinite shades of marble dialogue with the colors and textures of the fronts of the storage furniture. Fortepiano can accommodate, upon request, a towel rail that can be carved directly into the end of the marble top without adding any accessory element that would undermine its absolute image.
